Several of Dr. Jan Van Eys’ significant accomplishments related to the advancement of cancer care and patient advocacy are highlighted. The first clip describes his role in the establishment of the Annual Mental Health Conferences. The second clip reviews Dr. Van Eys’ philosophy and opinions regarding what constitutes a fully cured pediatric cancer patient. The last clip includes a brief description of his involvement in the development of a code of ethics for patients.

Jan Van Eys, M.D., Ph.D. moved from the Netherlands to the United States to study biochemistry at Vanderbilt University where he received his Ph.D. in 1955.
